Ken Wright Pinot Noir Savoya 2024 originates from the United States, within Oregon's Willamette Valley region and the Yamhill Carlton AVA subregion. Founded in 1994 by winemaking pioneer Ken Wright, the winery focuses on single vineyard bottlings that highlight the distinct soil profiles across northern Oregon. Savoya Vineyard, planted on shallow marine sedimentary soils (Willakenzie series), is known for producing Pinot Noir with great structural integrity, dark fruit intensity, and expressive floral and spice aromatics.
Wine Description
This red wine displays a translucent, deep ruby colour. The nose is expressive and complex, presenting aromas of black cherry, dark plum, and blueberry compote, accompanied by notes of violet blossoms, forest floor, black tea, and sweet baking spices. On the palate, it features a medium to full body with a rich, satiny texture, underpinned by fine grained, firm tannins and balancing acidity. Stylistically, the wine delivers a harmonious balance between dark berry purity, savory earthiness, and refined structure, concluding with a long, elegant finish marked by lingering fruit and spice.
