Kilchoman Maury Cask Matured exhibits an incredible crimson red hue, a striking visual testament to its full maturation in ex Maury fortified wine casks from southern France. The nose opens with an aromatic bouquet of rich figs, raisins, and dates layered seamlessly alongside salted caramel, orange peel, and a gentle thread of peat smoke. On the palate, this full bodied spirit reveals sophisticated layers of dark chocolate, treacle, pipe smoke, and a warming complexity of black pepper and paprika spices. The finish is remarkably long and earthy, lingering with notes of dried fruits, cacao, and a beautifully balanced, drying wood spice.
