Spirit Description

This single malt displays a pale straw to light golden amber hue in the glass. On the nose, it opens with vibrant, un-cut Islay peat smoke, bonfire ash, and medicinal reek, quickly balancing into sweet vanilla bean, lemon zest, green apple, and fresh malt. On the palate, the 58.5% ABV cask strength provides a thick, oily, and mouth-coating texture. Initial notes of sweet caramel, toasted coconut, and tropical fruit give way to an explosive mid-palate of earthy peat smoke, cracked black pepper, and salty maritime brine. The finish is exceptionally long, warm, and drying, leaving lingering impressions of charred oak, citrus peel, and persistent coastal peat smoke.
