This expressive red wine hails from the Chinon appellation in the Touraine region of France's Loire Valley. Domaine de la Noblaie is a historic family estate located in the Vau Breton, a valley famously celebrated by Rabelais as the home of Cabernet Franc. The Manzagol family acquired the property in 1952, and over three generations, they have expanded the vineyard to 24 hectares while maintaining a steadfast philosophy of producing organic, site-specific wines that reflect the unique limestone terroirs of Chinon.

Wine Description

The Les Blancs Manteaux is a pure Cabernet Franc sourced from 65-year-old vines planted on a prominent limestone (tuffeau) hillside. In the glass, it displays a vibrant ruby color leading to an elegant nose of spiced cherries, red berries, and dried herbs. The palate is medium bodied and supple, characterized by a succulent core of sour cherries and redcurrants balanced by bright acidity and fine, silky tannins.
