La Posta Malbec Angel Paulucci 2022

Argentina’s Mendoza region, specifically Luján de Cuyo, is renowned for producing some of the country’s most expressive Malbecs. La Posta is a project created to highlight small, family-owned vineyards, showcasing the character of growers like Angel Paulucci, whose vines were planted in 1972. The winery philosophy is rooted in authenticity, letting each grower’s parcel reflect its unique terroir.

Wine Description
This Malbec displays a deep ruby colour in the glass. The nose opens with aromas of fresh raspberries, red cherries, and plums, layered with violet florals and subtle toasty oak. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, showing lively berry fruit with hints of vanilla, spice, and caramel from partial oak ageing. The tannins are firm yet approachable, lending structure without overwhelming. A balanced acidity keeps the wine vibrant, finishing with lingering notes of fruit and gentle oak spice.

Food Pairing
Perfect alongside grilled steaks or lamb, this Malbec also complements mushroom dishes and tomato-based pasta. Mild to medium cheeses make an excellent pairing as well.
