La Spinetta Barbaresco Starderi hails from the Neive municipality within the Barbaresco region of Piedmont, Italy. The Rivetti family, led by Giorgio Rivetti, acquired the 6.5-hectare Starderi vineyard in 1996, a site dedicated exclusively to Nebbiolo. Their winemaking philosophy emphasizes the essence of terroir and sustainable practices, producing wines that are un-fined and un-filtered to maintain their natural character.
Wine Description
This 100% Nebbiolo presents as a pale ruby red in the glass. The aromatic profile is complex and vibrant, offering hints of ripe red fruits, strawberry, and peach alongside floral notes of fresh rose petal and hibiscus. Subtle undertones of cinnamon, graphite, mint, and orange peel add further depth to the bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and layered, displaying a dense concentration of dark fruit and blackberry preserves balanced by brisk acidity and herbal shades. Its structure is defined by soft, creamy tannins that lead into a long, spicy finish.
