Product description
From the Loire Valley in France, this wine is crafted by Laurent Saillard, a former restaurateur turned winemaker who has embraced natural and organic practices. Saillard works with old vines planted in 1978, originally part of the famed Clos Roche Blanche estate, and is committed to producing pure, terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention.
Wine Description
This Gamay Noir pours a bright ruby red in the glass. The nose is fragrant with aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and wild strawberries, complemented by subtle floral notes and a touch of earthiness. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with juicy red fruit, gentle spice, and a mineral backbone. The body is light to medium, supported by vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins, leading to a clean, elegant finish.
Food Pairing
This versatile Gamay pairs beautifully with charcuterie, roasted chicken, mushroom dishes, or even a simple Margherita pizza. Its freshness and balance make it equally suitable for lighter fare such as grilled salmon or vegetarian dishes with herbs.
