Product description

Les Petites Jamelles Rosé is a delightfully fresh and contemporary rosé wine produced by Les Jamelles under the IGP Terres du Midi classification in Southern France.

Crafted by the esteemed winemaking duo Catherine and Laurent Delaunay, this wine captures the joyful, sun-drenched "joie de vivre" of the Mediterranean coast. Sourced across the varied landscapes of the Gard, Hérault, Aude, and Pyrénées-Orientales departments, the grapes experience a mix of hot plains and cool high plateaus. Rather than matching the heavy, overly dense reds historically tied to the region, this range pivots to an elegant, highly refreshing, and modern style.

Wine Description

The 2024 vintage showcases a classic, brilliant pale pink or apricot hue in the glass.

  • Aromas: The nose is highly expressive and delicate, bursting with fresh red fruit scents like redcurrant, cherry, and strawberry, accented by a playful touch of grenadine, crunchy apple, rose petals, and violet.

  • Palate: On the palate, the wine is bright, crisp, and beautifully linear. It seamlessly contrasts a round, plush texture with fine fruit tannins and a striking, mouthwatering acidity.

  • Finish: It concludes with a satisfyingly dry, long finish characterized by a touch of tropical fruit, soft white pepper, and a clean mineral edge.

The wine is an unconventional multi-varietal blend composed of Caladoc, Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault, and Merlot. To achieve its delicate color and pristine fruit definition, the winemaking team utilizes direct pressing, generating incredibly clear juices. After a rigorous settling process, the juice undergoes a cool, temperature-controlled fermentation capped at 15°C. It sees no malolactic fermentation and is bottled relatively early to lock in its youthful zip. The wine typically holds an ABV of 12.5% to 13%.
