Product description

This mezcal originates from Mexico, produced in the Sola de Vega region of Oaxaca. The brand Los Siete Misterios was founded in 2010 by brothers Eduardo and Julio Reséndiz to preserve traditional mezcal making methods. Crafted by artisanal mezcaleros, this expression features a rare co-fermentation and co-distillation of cultivated Espadín and wild Mexicanito agaves. The agaves are cooked in underground stone pits, hand milled using wooden mallets, natural open air fermented in wooden vats, and double distilled in traditional clay pot stills.

Spirit Description

This unaged mezcal presents a crystal clear appearance with rich viscosity. The aroma is complex and expressive, opening with notes of roasted agave, subtle earthiness, wet clay, and soft campfire smoke, complimented by bright herbal tones, citrus, and wild greenery. On the palate, it offers a medium to full body with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Sweet agave, herbal green pepper, and tropical fruit flavours are balanced by delicate mineral nuances, subtle ash, and spicy cracked black pepper. The finish is long, warm, and persistent, leaving behind lingering notes of sweet cooked agave, earth, and delicate smoke.
