This additive free blanco tequila originates from Mexico, produced in the Los Altos region of Jalisco. Conceived by founder Arturo Lamas III to honour his family's lost distilling heritage, the expression is crafted by Master Distiller Sergio Cruz at the esteemed Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados distillery (NOM 1414) in Arandas. Translated as 'to the roots', the spirit is made from 100% estate grown Blue Weber agave that is cooked in traditional stone brick ovens, open air fermented with champagne yeast, and double distilled in copper pot stills.
Spirit Description
This unaged tequila presents a crystal clear, shimmering appearance in the glass. The nose opens with vibrant cooked agave, bright lime, and grapefruit zest, supported by notes of wet stone minerality, fresh herbs, mint, and cracked black pepper. On the palate, it delivers a medium body with a silky and rounded mouthfeel. Dominant sweet agave flavours take center stage alongside vegetal accents, zesty tropical citrus, and a warming dose of black pepper spice. The finish is crisp, clean, and lingering, leaving behind a pleasant peppery tingle and lasting agave sweetness. Bottled at an ABV of 40%, it offers an authentic, mineral driven profile with superb balance and freshness.
