Introduction

Louis Bernard Côtes du Rhône Blanc originates from France, within the Southern Rhône subregion of the Rhône Valley. The winery was founded in 1976 by Mr. Bernard, who travelled the region to establish partnerships with winegrowers committed to authentic expressions of their terroir. Based in the village of Gigondas, the winemaking team, led by Sylvain Jean, focuses on a 'Louis Bernard style' that emphasizes fruit-forward, generous wines while maintaining close alliances with more than 20 vineyard owners.

Wine Description

This white wine presents a pale gold colour with distinct green highlights in the glass. The sensory profile is expressive and fresh, opening with a floral bouquet of spring blossoms, lilac, and rose combined with fruity aromas of pear, white peach, and pineapple. On the light to medium-bodied palate, it is lively and well-balanced, delivering crisp flavours of apple, citrus zest, and lemon peel alongside a subtle mineral undertone. The finish is clean and dry, often revealing a refreshing stony character.

• Varietal Composition: A traditional Southern Rhône blend typically featuring Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc, and Roussanne, sometimes including Clairette or Viognier.

• ABV: Generally ranges between 12% and 12.5%.

• Stylistic Notes: To preserve its aromatic potential and freshness, the wine is fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel vats and aged for six months before bottling without oak influence.

• Organic Status: While this standard bottling is not certified organic, the winery is recognized as 'Exemplary' in Sustainable Development and produces a separate organic red label. It is also noted as being vegan-friendly.
