This wine originates from France, within the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy and the Aloxe-Corton Premier Cru appellation. Founded in 1797, Maison Louis Latour is one of Burgundy's most historic family-owned estates, owning over 90% of the Les Chaillots vineyard surrounding their famous Château Corton Grancey. The vineyard's name derives from "caillou" (pebble), reflecting its stony, gravel-rich soils. The winery's philosophy emphasizes traditional open-vat fermentation and aging in medium-toasted French oak barrels crafted in their own cooperage to capture site power and classic ageability.

Wine Description

This wine displays a deep ruby color. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and summer florals, layered with subtle oak spices and earthy undergrowth notes. On the palate, it exhibits a full body with a fresh, supple mouthfeel, structured by velvety, powdery tannins and a touch of liquorice. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent. The varietal composition is 100% Pinot Noir. It has an alcohol content of approximately 13.5% ABV and is not certified organic.
