Louis Michel & Fils Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir 2019

Product description

The Michel family has been cultivating their passion for tradition and the Chablis terroir since 1850. In the mid-20th century, the family stopped making wine in wooden barrels in favor of stainless steel tanks to create clean, pure, and precise Chablis without adding artificial woody flavors. Through this philosophy, combined with limited yields inspired by organic wine-growing techniques, the Domaine has developed a worldwide reputation for fine winemaking in stainless steel tanks. A firmly-rooted sense of excellence is passed down from generation to generation.

Gourmand, Grand Cru Vaudesir nose reveals notes of rhubarb and acacia flower. Fine and elegant in the mouth, with buttery, brioche aromas, and a dominant hint of coconut.

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

The 2019 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir wafts from the glass with aromas of green apple, crisp apricot, mandarin, fresh pastry and iodine. Full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's textural and enveloping, with a concentrated core of fruit and a long, perfumed finish. This has turned out brilliantly.

92 Points - Wine Spectator

A lean and steely white, with moderate apple and earth flavors and touches of herbs and graphite for grace notes. Puts on some weight midpalate, before converging on the stony finish.
