Lucente Toscana 2022

Lucente Toscana originates from the Tuscany region of Italy, specifically from the high-elevation vineyards of Montalcino. The estate, Tenuta Luce, was founded in 1993 as a visionary partnership between the Frescobaldi family and Robert Mondavi, aiming to create a unique expression of Montalcino terroir. This winemaking philosophy focuses on the harmony between the structure of Sangiovese and the roundness of Merlot, reflecting the 'light of the vine' through meticulous vineyard management.

Wine Description

This wine presents a deep ruby red colour. The nose is intense and expressive, offering a bouquet of blackberry, pomegranate, and Parma violets, underscored by subtle notes of cedar, toasted vanilla, and spice. On the palate, Lucente is broad and enveloping, featuring a medium to full body with ripe cherry and wild berry flavours balanced by a savoury freshness. The tannins are finely integrated and silky, leading to a long, vibrant finish with a hint of chocolate.
