This family domaine, directed by brothers Claude and Hervé Muzard, dates back to the 1960's and today numbers among the more interesting, forward-thinking addresses in the southern Côte de Beaune. Replanting with high-quality selections massale, limiting yields, working the soils and farming organically, they seek balance without rusticity in their wines, using some whole-cluster fermentation followed by maturation in barrels and foudres. Muzard’s wines tend toward the elegant end of the spectrum, highlighted by crunchy, earthy red fruit.
