Luigi Bosca Leon Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

This wine originates from Argentina, within the Mendoza region and the high-altitude terroirs of the Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo. Bodega Luigi Bosca, founded in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, is one of Argentina's most historic family-owned wineries. The "León" bottling, part of the winery's flagship collection, pays tribute to founder Leoncio Arizu's vision and legacy. The winemaking philosophy focuses on low-intervention viticulture, high-altitude precision, and traditional barrel maturation to highlight the concentration, elegance, and aging capacity of Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wine Description

This wine displays a deep, dark ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with intense, pure aromas of dark fruits like blackberry, cassis, and blueberry, complemented by peppery, herbal nuances of black pepper and rosemary alongside subtle roasted oak notes. On the palate, it is compact, markedly structured, and full-bodied, framed by fine, ripe tannins and balanced acidity that delivers a smooth mouthfeel and an elegant, persistent finish.

Vintage Quality

The 2023 growing season in Mendoza benefited from cool night temperatures and bright high-altitude sunshine, promoting steady grape development and excellent concentration. These optimal conditions allowed the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit to achieve full phenolic maturity and refined tannin structure while preserving the bright natural acidity essential for long-term aging.
