Product description
Lunaria Ramoro Pinot Grigio originates from Italy, within the Abruzzo region and the coastal Terre di Chieti subregion. The wine is produced by Cantina Orsogna, a cooperative company established in 1964 that has grown to become a massive producer of organic and biodynamic wines in southern central Italy. Under the innovative 'Lunaria' brand, the winery operates with a philosophy focused on ethical harmony with nature, human community, and environmental preservation, which includes supporting the WWF LIFE Euroturtles project to protect Mediterranean sea turtles.
Wine Description
This unique white wine behaves like an orange or ramato style selection, presenting a bright copper-orange or rose-gold appearance and possessing a rich, medium-bodied palate texture. The sensory profile is floaty, ethereal, and highly intense, opening with a vibrant nose of yellow pulp fruits, pink grapefruit, ripe apricots, and fresh peaches, balanced by floral top notes. On the savoury, texturally complex palate, it delivers an expressive tropical fruit salad character highlighting soft guava, melon, and mango. The finish is bone dry, clean, and remarkably fresh, leaving a persistent, herbal, and sapid impression.
Varietal Composition: 100% Pinot Grigio.
Stylistic Notes: The wine is celebrated for its traditional with a twist framework, undergoing a spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts alongside approximately 30 days of direct grape skin contact in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before refining in concrete tanks.
ABV: 12% to 12.5%.
Organic Status: Reflecting the cooperative's core philosophy, this bottling is fully certified organic, biodynamic by Demeter standards, and registered as vegan-friendly.
Food Pairing
The deep skin-contact texture, zesty fruit profiles, and savoury complexity of this Ramoro selection make it an incredibly versatile pairing option for full-flavoured meals.
Seafood: Pairs phenomenally well with grilled shrimp and cucumber wraps, cod fillets, steamed shellfish, or traditional fish soups.
Poultry & Meats: Suggested pairings include roasted chicken dishes, light pork sliders, or white meats tossed with fresh summer garden salads.
Light Fare: Complements casual first courses accompanied by light herbal or cream sauces and vegetable appetizers.
