Product description
Malivoire is a blend of innovative thinking with respect for tradition, committed to a long-term, wholistic view of their vineyard farms. The winery, established by Martin Malivoire in 1995 with the purchase of the Moira Vineyard, has become a base for creativity and sustainability, producing wines that are uniquely and proudly Canadian. Their philosophy highlights a gentle, eco-centric approach, including gravity flow winemaking to preserve delicate flavours and aromas while minimizing oxidation and energy consumption, along with reducing synthetic inputs in the vineyard.
Wine Description
It exhibits aromas of stewed black cherry, candied berries, and red liquorice, as well as sensations of dark Niagara cherry, raspberry, black pepper, fragrant juniper, and graphite. On the palate, the wine is bright and juicy, with notes of blackcurrant and a peppercorn spice. It offers a refreshing, fruit forward style with vibrant acidity and balance.
Food Pairing
Suggested pairings include charcuterie, grilled duck in a plum sauce, or Korean Pork Bulgogi. It also pairs well with braised lamb, grilled chicken, salmon, or lighter-weight meat dishes like roast chicken or pork chops.
