Located in the heart of the Penedès region, approximately 40 km southwest of Barcelona, the estate has a rich history of crafting high-quality cavas using traditional methods. Their commitment to excellence has earned them international acclaim, with their cavas consistently receiving awards for their superior quality.
Wine Description
The Monistrol Selección Especial Brut is a sparkling wine made from a blend of Macabeo, Xarel-lo, and Parellada grapes. It presents a pale yellow color with a slight straw hue. On the nose, it offers a balanced bouquet with fine aromas resulting from its aging process. The palate is characterized by long-lasting bubbles that provide a fresh and lively aftertaste. This cava is carefully aged in quiet underground cellars for 15 months before release, following the traditional Champagne method.
Food Pairing
This cava pairs excellently with appetizers, soups, and white fish dishes. Its refreshing profile also makes it a delightful accompaniment to light salads and seafood. These pairings highlight the wine’s depth and character, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
