Massican Annia California White 2023

Massican is the Napa Valley’s only winery singularly focused on producing white wine. Founder and winemaker Dan Petroski started the brand in 2009 with the goal of creating crisp, refreshing, Mediterranean inspired white wines, drawing inspiration from the Friuli region of northeastern Italy. The name ‘Massican’ itself refers to Mons Massicus, an ancient Italian ridge, honouring the area where Petroski’s great-grandparents were born.

Wine Description

It presents a pale greenish gold colour in the glass. Aromatically, it offers delicate notes of apple and citrus blossoms, honeysuckle, and wet stones, with suggestions of lemon, oyster shell, and saline. On the palate, the wine is sleek and juicy, revealing alluring flavours of lemons, peaches, Meyer lemon, tangerine, and a subtle hint of sea foam.
