Product description
Mastrojanni Brunello di Montalcino originates from Italy, specifically within Tuscany's renowned Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and the southern subregion of Castelnuovo dell'Abate. Founded in 1975 by Gabriele Mastrojanni and acquired by the Illy Group in 2008, the estate is celebrated for pioneering the southern, warmer slopes of the appellation. Their winemaking philosophy centers on non-invasive viticulture, respect for site diversity, and classic cask aging to preserve the purest expression of Sangiovese.
Wine Description
This wine presents a brilliant, deep ruby red color in the glass. On the nose, it reveals a complex bouquet of dark cherries, ripe red plums, and cassis, layered with nuances of dried flowers, licorice, rosemary, and subtle leather notes. The palate is medium to full bodied, balancing vibrant energy with a core of juicy red fruit, refined tannins, and a persistent finish marked by a distinct mineral saltiness and hints of spice.
