Mattei Corsica Distilled Dry Gin originates from France, on the island of Corsica in the northern subregion of Bastia. Established in 1872 by Louis Napoleon Mattei, the historic distillery originally built its reputation on traditional aperitifs and liqueurs crafted from local island botanicals. Today, the house continues to celebrate the unique Corsican terroir under modern ownership, expanding its portfolio to include distilled dry gin alongside its iconic aperitif wines.

Spirit Description

This distilled dry gin presents a crystal clear, bright appearance in the glass. The aromatic nose opens with intense piney juniper, accompanied by herbal undertones of bay leaf, marjoram, and everlasting flower, along with vibrant citrus zest. On the palate, the body is light, fresh, and exceptionally smooth, revealing a harmonious balance of Corsican citron, crisp lemon, and delicate Mediterranean forest herbs. The finish is remarkably clean, dry, and balanced, leaving a trailing citrus brightness and lingering herbal perfume. This craft spirit is bottled at an alcohol by volume of 40%.
