Wine Description

The wine presents a clear, translucent ruby red colour with garnet reflections along the rim. An expressive and layered bouquet opens with dark red cherry, wild cranberry, and crushed plum, complemented by fragrant accents of dried rose petal, licorice, eucalyptus, pipe tobacco, and wet stone minerality. On the palate, it is full bodied, taut, and energetic, delivering concentrated flavours of red fruit, blood orange, and dark cocoa supported by a firm, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Framed by Monforte's signature muscular, tightly woven tannins and an undercurrent of broad mineral depth, it concludes with a long, intense, and savory finish. Composed of 100% Nebbiolo harvested from the prized Castelletto cru, this release offers an optimal drinking window of 2026–2042. Stylistically, it combines modern fruit clarity and oak polish with Monforte d'Alba's formidable structural power.
