Product description
Established in 1983 as the first winery built in Napa Valley following the repeal of Prohibition, Merryvale Vineyards occupies a central position in modern California winemaking history. Located in St. Helena, the estate was purchased in 1996 by the Schlatter family, who invested heavily in establishing their flagship crown jewel: the Profile Estate Vineyard. Planted in 1997 with guidance from legendary viticulturist David Abreu and consulting oenologist Michel Rolland, this 25-acre ridge vineyard sits at 800 feet elevation on steep volcanic and clay soils. Under winemaker Andrew Wright, Merryvale focuses on small-lot, parcel-by-parcel fermentations, native yeasts, and extensive French oak maturation to produce cellar-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon blends defined by concentration, mineral tension, and hillside power.
2013 :
Marked by ideal warm conditions and dry weather, 2013 produced an opaque, tightly wound wine packed with brooding cassis, crushed graphite, and dense, structured tannins built for long-term cellaring.

2014 :
A steady, temperate season yielded an expressive, harmonious profile featuring plush plum, sweet cacao, violet aromatics, and seamless, velvety tannins.

2015 :
Low yields from a cool bloom resulted in small, intense berries. The resulting wine is rich, fruit-forward, and expansive, bursting with dark cherry jam, mocha, and toasted oak spice.
