94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The 1963 Colheita Port is an old vines field blend bottled in 2014 with a long cork. Fresh, rich and bright on the finish, this has a whiff of brandy, but it is surprisingly clean and youthful for its age. It lingers nicely, finally showing all of those old Tawny flavours. It's sweet caramel nuances are especially delectable on the juicy finish, but they weren't so defined and nuanced early on. I wasn't as thrilled on the first tastes, but by the fourth day, its beautiful acidity took over and made it multidimensional. Sexy yet ultimately crisp, this should be a crowd-pleaser and then some. As always, the end-date drinking window is just a placeholder. This should hold indefinitely, barring cork failures.
