Mezcal El Occidental Oaxaca

Produced in Mexico’s renowned Oaxaca region, El Occidental is crafted from 100% organic agave Espadín. Oaxaca is celebrated as the birthplace of mezcal, where traditional methods have been preserved for generations. This artisanal spirit reflects the heritage of highland Zimatlán de Álvarez, a community over 2,400 m above sea level, where craftsmanship and terroir define the character of each batch.

Mezcal Description

This mezcal pours crystal clear, with a bright, silvery sheen in the glass. On the nose, it reveals expressive herbal and floral aromas with hints of smoke. The palate is medium-bodied, marked by notes of tobacco, cocoa, leather, and subtle vanilla, balanced by a delicate minerality and a lightly salty edge.
