Mi Familia Flores Extra Añejo Tequila is a luxury aged spirit originating from Amatitán in the Valles (Lowlands) region of Jalisco, Mexico. Crafted at the Selecto de Amatitán distillery (NOM 1459), the spirit is produced in small batches by the Flores family. Designed to highlight the harmony between rich oak influence and sweet cooked agave, this expression undergoes an extended maturation process that yields a deep, dessert-like sipping tequila.

Spirit Description

Mi Familia Extra Añejo is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave harvested from the lowland fields of Jalisco. The agaves are cooked in autoclaves, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and double-distilled in copper-lined stills. The spirit is then aged for a minimum of 36 months (3 years) in charred American white oak barrels, developing its characteristic rich amber tone and smooth profile.

• Colour: Deep golden amber to reddish-mahogany with bright copper highlights.

• Aroma: Soft, sweet, and dessert-forward. The nose opens with rich caramel, butterscotch, vanilla bean, and toasted oak, followed by dark chocolate, dried fruit, subtle cinnamon spice, and a hint of citrus peel.

• Palate: Extremely smooth, lush, and velvety on the entry. Upfront flavors of cooked agave, brown sugar, toffee, and sweet vanilla give way to dark chocolate, roasted nuts, black cherry, and baking spices like nutmeg and cinnamon.

• Body: Full-bodied with an oily, coating viscosity that delivers a rich, tongue-coating mouthfeel.

• Finish: Long, warm, and lingering, closing with notes of sweet butterscotch, toasted oak, mild black pepper, and subtle fruit sweetness.

• ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof).
