Officially designated as "The Reserve," this expression honors the legendary pioneering vision of Robert Mondavi, who single-handedly coined the term "Fumé Blanc" in the late 1960s to completely redefine dry, oak-aged California Sauvignon Blanc. Sourced for this vintage exclusively from the prestigious Monastery Block within the grand cru-caliber To Kalon Vineyard, the estate operates under a philosophy of terroir precision. Rooted in deep, well-drained gravelly soils, the mature vines benefit from an ideal microclimate that naturally infuses the fruit with a perfect equilibrium of solar concentration and mineral tension.

Robert Mondavi 'The Reserve' To Kalon Vineyard Fumé Blanc presents a beautiful pale gold appearance with brilliant greenish highlights in the glass. Its sensory profile is powerful, tightly wound, and beautifully expressive, unfolding a high-toned bouquet of white orchard blossoms, fresh lemons, lime zest, and grapefruit layered with complex nuances of pastry shop, white pepper, warm croissant, and coconut. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full-bodied and impressively structured, showcasing a rich, expansive core of juicy pear, melon, ripe fig, and mango.
