Product description
This wine originates from Italy, within Tuscany's Chianti Classico region and the subregion of San Donato in Poggio. Castello di Monsanto was acquired by Aldo Bianchi in 1961, and the winery quickly became a pioneer in the region by creating one of Chianti Classico's first single-vineyard bottlings. Led by the Bianchi family, the winery's philosophy emphasizes a strong belief in Sangiovese, using traditional vinification and aging techniques to express the rich galestro soils of the estate.
Wine Description
This bright ruby red wine opens with classic aromas of wild red cherry, dark plum, and violet, complemented by hints of cedar, tobacco leaf, and subtle spice. On the palate, it exhibits a full body with savory complexity, fine-grained tannins, and a crisp, mouthwatering acidity. The finish is long, dry, and mineral-driven. The varietal composition is a traditional blend of 90% Sangiovese with 10% Canaiolo and Colorino. It has an alcohol content of 14% ABV and is not certified organic.
