Montes Wings Carmenere 2021

This red wine originates in Chile, specifically from the Colchagua Valley region and the Apalta sub-region. Viña Montes was founded in 1988 by four friends: Aurelio Montes (Chief Winemaker), Douglas Murray, Alfredo Vidaurre, and Pedro Grand. The winery has gained international recognition for the quality and consistency of its products, priding itself on using sustainable viticultural practices and a commitment to preserving the environment.

Wine Description

The intense nose reveals aromas of black fruit, such as blackberry and blueberry, accompanied by pleasant spice notes of bell pepper and black pepper. Sweet notes from the French oak barrels add further complexity. On the palate, the wine is rounded, showing extreme smoothness and potency. Stylistic notes include 'lively acidity' and 'energy and tension' on the palate. It is a full-bodied wine that remains fresh and balanced, culminating in a very long, pleasant finish.
