Product description
Hailing from Spain, Moraza Las Tasugueras Blanco is rooted in the high-altitude subregion of Rioja Alta within the broader Rioja territory. Bodegas Moraza has been operated by six generations of the same family, with Janire Moraza currently leading the estate alongside a commitment to certified organic and biodynamic viticulture. Their winemaking philosophy completely rejects the use of oak in favour of early harvesting, allowing them to capture lower alcohol levels and a fresh, pure expression of their unique calcareous clay terroir.
Wine Description
This wine is crafted entirely from 100% Tempranillo Blanco, a rare genetic mutation of the red Tempranillo grape grown in the single vineyard parcel of Las Tasugueras. In the glass, it reveals a medium yellow colour with bright clarity. The aroma is highly expressive, offering layers of white flowers, ripe pears, Meyer lemon, and a delicate hint of beeswax. On the palate, it balances a bold, medium to full body with a crisp, dry profile and striking freshness driven by a vibrant high acidity. Complex flavours of baked apple, lemon pith, and a touch of salted hazelnut evolve seamlessly alongside a creamy texture derived from stainless steel lees contact. The finish is remarkably long, precise, and defined by a distinctive mineral salinity.
