This wine is a second wine of the esteemed Château La Lagune, originating from France, in the Bordeaux region's Haut-Médoc appellation. Château La Lagune, one of the oldest estates in the Médoc, with origins dating back to 1587, is known for its magnificent Chartreuse built between 1730 and 1855. The winery, a Third Growth Grand Cru Classé, is now run by Caroline Frey, who champions environmentally friendly viticulture, with the vineyard certified organic in 2016 and biodynamic in 2022.

The Moulin du Chateau La Lagune 2019 is a red Bordeaux blend that typically favours Merlot, contributing to its early approachability. It presents a beautiful, clear ruby colour. The nose is intense, combining fragrances of red and black fruits, like cassis, black cherry, and blackberry, with hints of violet and cedarwood. On the palate, the wine is elegant, fresh, and medium-bodied with smooth, well-integrated, round tannins. Flavours echo the aromas, showing fresh blue and black fruits, black pepper, and mint, leading to an elegant, persistent, and refreshing finish.
