Nakano Kunizakari Japanese Plum Umeshu - 2 Litre

Established in 1844 during the Edo period, Nakano Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. produces its traditional plum wine under the Kunizakari brand, a name chosen with the hope that the brewery would flourish alongside the nation. The brewery is unique for operating its own dedicated plum farm, the Kuni Zakari Farm, where employees meticulously cultivate and harvest approximately 3,000 trees to ensure the highest quality ingredients for their liqueurs.

Description

This classic umeshu presents a golden amber colour. The aromatic profile is inviting and fruity, featuring notes of caramel, lemon, and dark plum. On the palate, it delivers a rich and complex sensory experience where juicy sweetness is masterfully balanced by spicy and tart undertones with hints of marzipan. The body is smooth and flavourful, leading to a refreshing and slightly tannic finish that highlights the deep essence of the fruit. ABV 10.5%.
