Product description

From Italy’s Piedmont region, Nervi is located in the DOCG zone of Gattinara in the northern reaches of the province of Vercelli. Founded in 1906, Nervi is the oldest winery in the area and was acquired in 2018 by Roberto Conterno, one of the most respected winemakers in Barolo. The estate benefits from volcanic soils and high-altitude vineyards, producing Nebbiolo wines of finesse and structure.

Wine Description
The 2020 Gattinara opens with a luminous ruby garnet hue. Aromas of wild cherry, rose petal, orange peel, crushed stone, and balsamic herbs rise from the glass with elegance. On the palate, the wine reveals its noble character with taut tannins, vibrant acidity, and savoury mineral grip. Flavours of red currant, cranberry, forest floor, and dried thyme unfold in layers, leading to a long, persistent finish.

Food Pairing
This structured red pairs beautifully with dishes such as osso buco, porcini mushroom risotto, braised duck, or mature cheeses like Castelmagno or Parmigiano Reggiano. A perfect match to enhance the wine’s complexity.
