Springbank 10 Year Old Fino Cask is produced in Scotland, within the Campbeltown region. Founded in 1828, the Springbank distillery is family owned by J & A Mitchell and Co Ltd and is distinguished as the only distillery in Scotland to perform the entire production process—from malting the barley to bottling the spirit—on-site. This limited edition expression is the fourth instalment in a five part sherry series designed to explore different sherry wood influences on the distillery's signature spirit.

Spirit Description

This single malt was distilled in July 2015 and matured for four years in refill bourbon hogsheads followed by six years in fresh Fino sherry hogsheads made from American oak. The nose is vibrant and fresh, opening with notes of blood orange, brandy snaps, and creamy vanilla custard, alongside hints of cherries and figs. On the palate, it offers a complex interplay of cinnamon sugar, fresh mint, praline, and morello cherries, balanced by the dry, nutty, and saline character typical of Fino sherry. The body is rich and slightly oily, leading to a lingering finish with notes of key lime, cola bottles, and maple syrup.
