Product description
Established in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, known as the 'Father of Japanese Whisky', Nikka Whisky operates the Miyagikyo Distillery where this unique expression is produced. Unlike most malt whiskies distilled in pot stills, this is made from 100% malted barley and distilled in traditional Coffey stills—typically reserved for grain whisky—to create a distinctively rich and silky profile.
Description
This whisky features a vibrant gold, amber colour. The nose is lively and aromatic, offering a complex blend of fresh lemon, pear, and banana with warming notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and milk chocolate. On the palate, it delivers a robust, dense texture and a silky mouthfeel with sweet flavours of toffee, golden syrup, and brioche balanced by spicy nutmeg and clove. The finish is long and creamy, leaving behind a delightful decline of rich oak, tobacco, and mild chocolate. ABV 45%.
