Product description
Originating from the United States, produced in the Kentucky region. Crafted at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky—under the ownership of the Sazerac Company—Eagle Rare was originally created in 1975 by legendary Master Distiller Charles L. Beam. Aged for a minimum of 10 years in oak barrels selected from Buffalo Trace’s famous Low-Rye Mash Bill #1, this expression is carefully matured to balance deep wood tannins with sweet corn and fruit characteristics before being bottled.
Spirit Description
This bourbon presents a rich, dark amber-golden hue in the glass. The nose is complex and sweet, opening with prominent aromas of toffee, toasted oak, and ripe red apples, accompanied by subtle nuances of leather, honey, and orange peel. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a dry, oak-forward mouthfeel, delivering flavours of dark chocolate, candied almonds, sweet vanilla cream, and cherries, balanced by seasoned wood spice and a touch of herbal rye. The finish is long, dry, and lingering, leaving a trailing impression of charred oak, cocoa, and subtle black pepper. Bottled at a strength of 45% ABV (90 Proof), it delivers an exceptionally refined, age-stated Kentucky bourbon profile.
