Production Process

The journey begins with Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey, which is fully matured in charred new American white oak barrels. After this initial aging, the whiskey is transferred to a second custom-made barrel crafted from 18-month air-dried wood. This secondary barrel is toasted but not charred, a process that imparts additional nuanced flavors to the whiskey.
