Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a semi-annual release from the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Established in 1828, Springbank remains one of the last family-owned distilleries in Scotland and is unique for performing 100% of the production process—including floor malting, maturation, and bottling—on-site. This expression was introduced in 2010 and is typically released in two vattings per year (Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall), with batch numbers often tracked by enthusiasts via their unique alcohol strength.

Spirit Description

As a cask-strength product, the ABV and maturation ratios vary with each batch, though most releases utilize a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The whisky is bottled without chill filtration or artificial colouring.
