This rich and "tribute-driven" red wine originates from the United States, specifically from the premier Napa Valley region in California. Released as a new addition to the Emmolo portfolio (part of the Wagner Family of Wines, which includes Caymus), Nurseryman is named in honor of Frank Emmolo the grandfather of winemaker Jenny Wagner. Frank ran the Emmolo Nursery for five decades, supplying the high-quality grapevines that helped establish many of Napa's most famous vineyards. The winery's philosophy for this bottling is to create a "serious and layered" Cabernet that reflects the deep history of the valley's viticulture.

Emmolo Nurseryman Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep, saturated appearance with a "luxurious and personal" profile. Sourced from some of Napa Valley's premier Cabernet soils, the sensory profile features an expressive nose of blackberry, cassis, and plum, layered with savory notes of wild sage, cedar, and worn leather. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, plush, and "mouth-filling," showcasing a broad texture with flavors of dark berries and mocha. It is characterized by smooth, "melting" tannins and a long finish marked by hints of dark chocolate, espresso bean, and toasted oak. While specific technical data for the 2021 is maturing, the wine typically follows the Wagner style of intense concentration and supplemental maturation in French oak.
