Oakville Winery Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

The Oakville Winery Cabernet Sauvignon originates from the heart of the Napa Valley in the prestigious Oakville subregion of the United States. The winery is situated in an area historically significant as a water refueling stop for the railroad, eventually named for its dense groves of valley oaks. Its winemaking philosophy focuses on utilizing the district's ideal combination of warm days and cool evenings to produce wines that express the unique rocky and volcanic soils of the eastern Oakville benches.

Wine Description

This Cabernet Sauvignon presents a deep red colour and a harmonious aromatic profile featuring rich dark fruits such as black cherries and blackberries. The nose is further accented by subtle notes of fresh roses, cassis, vanilla, and black pepper. On the palate, the wine offers a full bodied mouthfeel with satiny tannins and vibrant acidity that supports a long, complex finish.

Food Pairing

This wine's bold structure and dark fruit profile pair exceptionally well with grilled lamb chops or a rich wild boar ragu. For a vegetarian option, truffle mushroom risotto provides an earthy complement to the wine's subtle notes of black pepper and vanilla.
