Oxford Landing Chardonnay 2024

This Chardonnay originates from the Riverland region of South Australia, situated along the banks of the River Murray. Founded in 1958 by the late Wyndham Hill-Smith, Oxford Landing is part of the historic, family-owned Yalumba wine company, which remains fiercely independent under the Hill-Smith family's stewardship.

Wine Description

This wine is a pale straw green in colour. The aromatic profile features yellow peach and ripe nectarine alongside unique notes of native Australian lemon myrtle, wild honey, and freshly cut hay. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied with layers of stone fruit and fig, complemented by a subtle cinnamon spice and toasty vanilla derived from partial barrel maturation and lees contact.

Food Pairing

This Chardonnay is an excellent companion to steamed salmon with sugar snap peas or avocado pasta. It also pairs beautifully with a chickpea, coriander, and lime salad or creamy dishes like chicken meat pie.
