Product description
Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc originates from New Zealand, within the Marlborough region. Established in 1990 by Delaware North and now owned by Delegat Group, Oyster Bay gained international acclaim after its inaugural 1990 vintage won the Marquis de Goulaine Trophy for Best Sauvignon Blanc at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London. The winery focuses on sustainable viticulture, sourcing grapes from cool-climate sites across the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, where abundant sunshine and free-draining alluvial soils produce quintessential New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
Wine Description
This white wine displays a pale straw-yellow colour with subtle greenish reflections. The nose is intense and aromatically lifted, delivering vibrant notes of passion fruit, pink grapefruit, and fresh gooseberry alongside hints of lemongrass, dried herbs, and white peach. On the palate, it exhibits a light to medium body with a crisp, mouthwatering acidity and a clean, zesty texture. Stylistically, it offers an easy-drinking, punchy fruit profile that finishes dry and refreshing with lingering citrus and tropical fruit accents.
