The Pinot Gris vines thrive on stony, free-draining alluvial soils shaped by the nearby Ruamahunga River. Paddy Borthwick Pinot Gris is aromatic and refined, offering a bouquet of ripe pear, quince, green apple, and delicate honeysuckle, layered with subtle baking spice and lees-driven minerality. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet bright, with a smooth texture, gentle oak influence, and a dry, crisp finish highlighted by a lingering touch of spice.
