This high-proof 100% Weber Blue Agave tequila originates from Mexico, produced in the Los Altos (Highlands) region of Jalisco at the Hacienda Patrón distillery. While Patrón's flagship expressions are standardly bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV), their 100-proof (50% ABV) releases—most notably seen in specialized lines like the Patrón Gran Burdeos (finished in Bordeaux wine casks) or limited-edition distillery-exclusive overproof bottlings—are crafted to showcase the uncompromised power, agave intensity, and full textural weight of Highland agave before dilution. The agave is slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens, crushed using a mix of tahona stone wheels and roller mills, and distilled in small copper pot stills.

This high-proof tequila presents a crystal-clear to light straw appearance depending on the expression's aging profile. On the nose, it is intensely vibrant and punchy, opening with a burst of sweet cooked agave, crushed green pepper, and bright lime zest, complemented by underlying notes of earthy minerality, white pepper, and soft floral herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and viscous, delivering a robust punch of peppery agave sweetness, baked citrus, and light vegetal oils, balanced by warming baking spices and structural oak tannins if aged. The finish is long, warm, and highly persistent, leaving a crisp, drying trail of lingering agave sugar, sea salt, and peppery heat. Bottled at 50% ABV (100 Proof), it offers an uncommonly bold, expressive, and spirit-forward agave experience.
