Introduction
Pelee Island Pinot Noir Reserve VQA is a medium-bodied red wine from the country of Canada, specifically the Pelee Island appellation in Ontario. It is produced by Pelee Island Winery, which operates the southernmost vineyards in Canada, where the island's long, sun-drenched growing season allows Pinot Noir grapes to ripen with finesse while retaining fresh acidity. As a VQA (Vintners Quality Alliance) wine, it adheres to strict standards regarding origin and production.
Description
This Pinot Noir is a "Reserve" expression, meaning it receives more significant oak influence and selection than the standard bottling.

Colour: Medium ruby red.
Aroma: Perfumed and expressive, featuring aromas of cherry, vanilla, and earth, with underlying hints of chocolate and smoke.
Palate: Medium-bodied and fruity. It delivers layers of sweet red berries, plum, and sour cherry, complemented by notes of mushroom, herbs, and baking spices.
Body: Medium-bodied with a silky texture and well-balanced acidity.
Finish: Moderate to long, with a clean and harmonious exit.
ABV: Typically ranges from 12.5% to 13.5% depending on the vintage.
