Penelope Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey originates from the United States, distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and aged and bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky. The brand was created by co-founders Michael Paladini and Danny Polise, naming the flagship bottle after Paladini's daughter. Penelope Bourbon operates under the ownership of Luxco, a subsidiary of MGP Ingredients, which officially acquired the acclaimed non-distilling producer in 2023.

Spirit Description

Penelope Four Grain is crafted from a unique blend of three distinct bourbon mash bills combining corn, wheat, rye, and malted barley. Aged in new charred American oak barrels, the spirit is left non-chill filtered to preserve its natural texture.

• Colour: Warm honey gold.

• Aroma: Soft and inviting. The nose opens with corn grain sweetness, maple syrup, orange oils, and fresh vanilla, accented by light oak and mild baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.

• Palate: Smooth, sweet, and approachable on the entry. It delivers creamy caramel, butterscotch, and honeyed cereal notes, balanced by sweet fruit, subtle berry, and gentle rye spice.

• Body: Light-to-medium-bodied with a soft, rounded mouthfeel and low ethanol bite.

• Finish: Gentle and easygoing, trailing off with sweet cornbread, vanilla icing spice, and light toasted oak.

• ABV: Bottled at 40% (80 Proof).
