Product description

The bottle for La Fiole wine was designed in 1952 by Charles Brotte with the co-operation of local Provencale glass and ceramic craftsmen. Its shape represents the gnarled and twisted vines typical in the region due to their struggle of growing against the Mistral wind. La Fiole, or Phiala in latin refers to a precious bottle.

This exceptional reserve bottling is aged for one year in 100-year old oak barrels to reveal a remarkable silkiness and balance. A strict selection of Grenache and Syrah from the best, low yield terroirs of reputable Cotes du Rhone villages.

Deep ruby in colour with purple hues. On the nose, intense aromas of red berries, black pepper and hints of liquorice. The palate is ample and fruity, smooth and full of body, with intense black fruit and liquorice. A long-lasting finish with hints of vanilla.

To savour with “foie gras” toast and truffles, Peking duck, grilled beef ribs, matured cheeses, dark chocolate “fondant”.
