The Kobau Vineyard, situated on the gravelly alluvial soils of the Golden Mile Bench, benefits from morning sun and cool evening shadows, allowing the winemaker to craft a Syrah with intense concentration, savory complexity, and elegance.
Wine Description
This deep, dark purple wine reveals complex aromas of dark plum, wild blackberry, and crushed blueberry, layered with signature notes of cracked black pepper, smoked meat, violet, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate, it exhibits a full body with a lush, velvety texture, supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and a vibrant vein of natural acidity. The finish is long, persistent, and savory, featuring lingering notes of dark cocoa and dried herbs. The varietal composition is 100% Syrah. It has an alcohol content of 14.5% ABV and is not certified organic.
