Pilsner Urquell 500 ml - 24 Cans

Introduction

Pilsner Urquell is brewed in Plzeň, Czech Republic, and is recognized as the world's first golden lager. The brewery was established in 1842 by the citizens of Pilsen, who hired Bavarian brewer Josef Groll to create a new, lighter style of bottom fermented beer. Today, the brewery is owned by Asahi Group Holdings and continues to be the only site where the beer is produced to ensure a consistent flavour globally.

Beer Description

This iconic pilsner presents a pale gold colour with a bright, clear appearance and a dense white foam head. The sensory profile features inviting aromas of sweet cereal malt, lemon zest, and spicy floral hops. On the palate, it delivers a perfectly balanced flavour of fresh bread and honey-like malt sweetness, offset by a 'velvety' and fragrant hop bitterness. The body is dry and medium-bodied with natural carbonation, leading to a crisp, clean, and refreshing finish. It is crafted using a traditional triple decoction process and is composed of 100% Czech ingredients: soft Plzeň water, sweet Moravian barley, and bitter Saaz hops. It has an ABV of 4.4%.
